Description

OPEN TO ALL TO ATTEND: It is critical to understand how the Social Security program works in order to get the most you can from your hard-earned benefit. This free educational seminar will provide you with the information you need to help you understand the Social Security program, coordinate spousal and survivor benefits, minimize taxes, and maximize your retirement income so that you can feel confident in your retirement income plan. We will discuss:

  • How your birth year and age at filing affects the dollar amount you will receive.
  • If your Social Security benefits will be taxed, and how you can minimize them.
  • What are IRMAA surcharges, and how you can potentially avoid having them deducted
    from your Social Security benefit.
  • If married, how Spousal and Survivor benefits are determined and how they work.
  • If divorced, what are the criteria for receiving Ex-Spousal and Ex-Survivor benefits and how
they can potentially be utilized in relation to your own benefit.
  • Strategies for Social Security as a key component of an overall Retirement Income Plan.
  • What can you do if you have already activated your benefit, and now realize that you may
    have made a mistake.
  • Outlook for the Social Security program, and potential changes that may be coming soon.
